Under the dial the Oris men’s watch is powered by the Oris Caliber 737, a chronometer-certified movement based on Sellita’s SW 200-1. To achieve chronometer status, each movement has been individually tested at the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) for 15 days, in five positions and at three different temperatures.
COSC certification guarantees accuracy to within -4 and +6 seconds a day and there is a certification number with each unit. The watch comes on either a dark brown leather strap or a metal bracelet that’s been modified by Oris to have flatter and slimmer links to complement the new case.
The Oris Artelier Chronometer, Date is both an homage to traditions laid down by generations of watchmakers and a design for today’s discerning watch buyer.
